I have always loved batik. Even tried my hand at it back in the day.
Lot of work! But beautiful.

This set is done on a sturdy cotton cloth.
Fabric was imported from Malaysia.

Jacket is a cropped waist length jacket with dagger collar and long sleeves.
Sleeves end in a button cuff.
Button front.

Skirt has a set on waist band and side button and zipper.
Flared maxi length.

Five Believer’s Batiks Ltd. was opened in Canada in Toronto's Yorkville Village. They used the funds to defend a wrongfully convicted middleweight boxer, Rubin "Hurricane" Carter.
They were in business for only a few years in the 70s.

Such a great piece of history and a fun set.

Excellent condition.
