Amazing 1980s cocktail dress from designer John Anthony. Known for his "barely there" creations.
Dress is made of the finest, featherweight lace. Some designer dresses can be so heavy but this one would feel like you weren't wearing anything!
Illusion top is made out of the silky mesh and cut very low across the bust. Then cut in a dolman sleeve that ends in a tight wrist with a lace ruffle.
Mesh is topped with a high mock neck of wide lace with a sheer open back.
Open back with only two hooks at the back of the neck.
Zipper goes up to the waist.
Cut in a more comfortable straight style.
Fishtail lace panel in the center back.
Body is actually 3 layers; sheer lace, mesh and then lined in silk.
Excellent condition.
Measures:
A bit too large for my mannequin.
A little bit of stretch. Probably best worn snug.
